What is the best FREE virus protection?

by on May 19, 2012

Right now my laptop has multiple viruses and I need the best method to clean my computer up, or the best FREE virus protection out there. I cannot access anything without it. It would be much appreciated if you could post the links to the virus protection website. THANK YOU!

My family keeps AVG Free on all our computers and we haven’t had any issues with viruses (: It’s free to install and keep, and it updates free every time!

frys.com has virus protection software, and currently several of them are free after rebate, including Norton 360

Microsoft Security Essentials (or MSE for short) is a great anti-virus. btw Helen Malwarebytes is for malware such as spyware, adware, keyloggers, dialers

and it doesnt offer real-time protection like a anti-virus would unless you buy the license for the full version, and it still wont protect you from everything, i know this because i have the full version for malwarebytes and there have been viruses that MSE caught, so really MSE is a combination of both anti-virus and anti-malware and its free

avast is always good in my opinion.

it takes very less time for scanning, finds almost any type of infection, free for use, takes very less amount of ram and lot more…

u can use that.

i am using that since 2003 and im completely free from infections…

here is the link for free download

If you want free then I recommend Avast , superantispyware and Malwarebytes. coupled with Comodo firewall They are all free for personal use . It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly.
