Free programs aren’t as good as commercial ..

But , I’ll try to tell you free good programs

AVG is a fairly good antivirus program with automatic updates and regular scanning. Another great antivirus program to use is called Avast! and this is what I have on my computer. It is constantly scanning your computer, updates automatically, scans your ingoing and outgoing email, and protects against viruses. A good free program to get rid of those malwares and trojans and such would be Ad-Aware. Doesn’t protect or update by itself but it does a very thorough scan and usually finds what other programs can’t find. Not too sure about a firewall, I just use the windows one.

I like to use a security suite because I know there will not be a conflict. I use Bitdefender Security Suite 2008. I have found it to be a very good product.

Best free firewall is with no doubt ZoneAlarm.
Best free antivirus is Mcafee from AOL.
Best free apyware removal is ad-aware 2007.
